The Waresa-e-Faqeer School is the second DARMAN school in the Kama district (the first one was handed over to the Government in 2011). It was established in 2003 and is currently serving close to 500 children.
The school is funded for the next 5 years (starting in 2021) by InfoCapital ehf. in Iceland.
From the beginning, the school annually added another class, so that since 2009 it goes up to class 6 and thereby students graduate from Primary School.
The school offers co-education for boys and girls, which represents major progress especially in an Afghan rural area, where girls rarely attend and even complete school education. It has greatly enhanced the prospect for jobs and the general economic situation of the population.
We thank our sponsors at Infocapital for bringing education to the girls and boys at the Waresa-e-Faqeer School!
